Data Collection

The simple truth: Spelling Hero collects no personal data whatsoever. The app does not:

Collect your name, email, or any identifying information
Track your location
Track your device or user behavior
Collect analytics or usage data
Require an account or login
Transmit data to external servers

How Data is Stored

All game progress, character selections, word lists, and settings are stored locally on your device only, using iOS's standard UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your iPhone or iPad.

Third Parties

Spelling Hero uses two Apple services, both of which operate under strict privacy terms:

Apple StoreKit (In-App Purchase): Handles the optional "Full Unlock" purchase. Apple processes payment securely; we never see your financial information.
Apple AVSpeechSynthesizer (Text-to-Speech): Converts words to speech on your device. No audio is recorded or sent anywhere.

Children's Privacy

Spelling Hero is designed for children and complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and the UK GDPR. Because we collect zero data, there is nothing to protect beyond the device itself.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Because the app collects no data, any changes would only be clarifications, not material changes to your privacy. The current version is always available within the app under Settings → About → Privacy Policy.
